When you contact us through the website, or fill out any forms either at the shelter or via the website, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our news and events and other updates.

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a form or to contact us via the website, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

Our website is hosted on servers managed by Numeriq Ltd.

Your data is stored through Numeriq Ltd’s data storage, databases and the WordPress content management system. Your data is stored on a secure server behind a firewall.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

The cookies set by Google Analytics help us understand how visitors interact with our website.

_utma tracks the number of times you have been to the site, when your first visit was, and when your last visit occurred. This cookie expires after 2 years.

_utmb and _utmc track how long a particular visit takes. _utmb expires after 30 minutes, _utmc expires once you close your browser.

SECTION 9 – RETENTION PERIOD FOR PERSONAL DATA
We reserve data for the following periods:

  • Staff and trustee data – 6 years
  • Financial Supporters – 6 years from last donation
  • Service Users – up to the lifetime of the rehomed cat for digital records. Up to three years for paper records.
  • Lifetime supporters – we will retain your information on an ongoing basis unless you request otherwise.
  • CCTV images – two weeks

SECTION 10 – CCTV

Images are monitored and recorded at the shelter car parking areas for the purposes of crime prevention and staff safety.
