Recommended Actions if you find a Deceased Cat

We regularly receive reports from people who have found the body of a cat who has been knocked over in a traffic accident, or has passed to the Bridge for other reasons.

We thought it would be useful to set out a guide on what to do in these instances.

LCR and other small rescues try their best to get out and gather the wee souls, but due to a lack of man power and available hours, this is not always possible - at least not always on the same day as the report is made.

Following the steps set out below, in our view, maximizes the chances of the poor wee soul's family having a chance to say goodbye to their furry - which is something any cat owner or lover would appreciate if the worst were to happen to their baby:
